Dear Mr. McMahon,
February 20, 1985
You are cordially invited to attend a round table discussion to be held
Thursday, March 21, entitled, "Negotiating with Marxists in Central
America." The program is sponsored by the International Security
Council, a project of CAUSA International. CAUSA is a non-profit,
non-sectarian educational organization that examines Marxism and
alternative ideologies.
The scheduled panelists include: Alejandro Orfilla, former
secretary-general of OAS; Ambassador Ernesto Rivas-Gallont, former
ambassador of El Salvador to the United States; and Lt. Gen. Gordon
Sumner Jr. USA (Ret.), former chairman of the Inter-American Defense
Board.
The seminar will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, 1700
Jefferson Davis Hwy., Arlington, VA. A dinner will be served from
6:00-7:15 p.m.; the panel discussion and question and answer session
will be from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m. A nominal admission cost of $10 to
defray the expense of the dinner is payable at the door.
Since a large turnout is anticipated, advance notice of your attendance
is necessary. We hope you will find time to participate in this
discussion and hear these respected authorities speak on this important
issue.
To confirm your reservation, please call (202) 529-7700 from 9-5 p.m.
