COINS/DODIIS Meeting of 5 February
1. A meeting was held at U on 5 February to discuss DNSIX in relation
to the COINS/DODIIS gateway. Present were:

2. bresented a briefing and responded to questions STAT
concerning the DNSIX implementation plans and the DODIIS security
architecture. After considerable discussion, it appeared that a consensus was
reached that the security information required for COINS purposes might well
be passed by DNSIX to the gateway by means of information to be included in
the session management messages which are being proposed to establish and
terminate interactive sessions in DNSIX. Since the precise format and content
of these messages have not yet been specified or implemented, the participants
were in agreement that the desired information transfer could probably be
accommodated in this way. It was agreed that on behalf of the STAT
COINS PMO, would study this proposal and prepare a concep paper on the
subject for further consideration by the group at the next meeting.
3. It was agreed that the group would meet again from 0930-1200 on
5 March at the IC Staff for further consideration of this proposal.
