DCI/DDCI-Assigned Tasks NIO at Large (Hal Ford) prepared briefing notes for the DCI on matters related to Radio Marti. NIO/Counterterrorism/Narcotics (Charles Allen) and A/NIO/Narcotics met with the DDCI to review the status of narcotics and counte errorism intelligence initiatives. NIO/Europe (Col. George Kolt), in coordination with officers of the DO, DI, and OGC, prepared a memorandum for the DCI on a Canadian citizen's claim against the Agency, related to MKULTRA. NIO/FDIA (H. F. Hutchinson, Jr.), with a DO officer, discussed a special project with the DDCI; with a DoD project officer, reviewed a semi-annual report with the DCI; and discussed with the DCI special projects related to developing proposals and resolving issues of legal authority and interagency coordination. NIO/USSR (Fritz Ermarth) attended a meeting on Summit planning with the DCI. Assistant NIO/USSR prepared a memorandum for the DCI on the new Soviet leadership and ast Europe.
