F~-Rq which you Government Upon investigation we have been able to identify the driver of the vehicle and have ascertained that the vehicle was indeed on the route cited by the complainant. As a result, we have formally reprimanded the driver and have made it a permanent entry in his personnel file. We have also advised supervisors and other drivers of the seriousness of the situation and the need for strict compliance, at all times, with applicable laws of the road and Government regulations. Purs want to Section 211 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended (40 U.S.C.:491),,:and Federal Property Management Regulations Subpart 101-39.6, the General Services Administration is required to notify the head of the agency using the vehicle of the reported incident. It is the responsibility of the using agency to conduct an investigation of the incident. Accordingly, we are requesting that you investigate this matter and respond directly to us. Please advise us of any corrective actions taken. In addition, we are requesting. you to. emphasize to your supervisors and employees the requirement to operate Government vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
