July 12, 1984
I just wanted to take a moment to express
my appreciation for the outstanding job
done by the CIA in support of the
President's participation in the London
Summit. The collection effort and
economic analyses of key Summit issues by
Agency staff were superb. The assistance
we received throughout the preparatory
process, as well as during the Summit
itself, contributed significantly to the
successes achieved at London.
STAT c' l note of thanks goes to
STAT who worked sal
with us over the past six months. Their
dedication, skill and professionalism are
a tribute to the Administration and to the
CIA. I know that many other fine people
also' contributed greatly, and I hope you
will pass on my appreciation for a job
well done.
With best wishes,
Sincerely,
The Honorable
William J. Casey
