1. OLL has contacted Senator Hawkins' office to make an
appointment for the briefing you offered.
2. Attached are the most current materials on Afghanistan and
Pakistan with pertinent portions marked in yellow. We have no
evidence that the Soviets are equipping labs.
3. As noted this morning, I see no way that we can release the
Cuba paper to Senator Hawkins. I have just reviewed all versions of
this paper and find them equally sensitive. As an alternative, I
recommend that we offer Senator Hawkins a full briefing on the
Community's analytical conclusions regarding Cuban involvement.

2. You will recall that she had expressed
concerns to the Vice President about how
developments were progressing in Grenada.
Attached is a paper the PDBers provided to Vice
President Bush this AM concerning Grenada. You
may want to take a quick look at it before your
session with Senator Hawkins.
