The final minutes of the 6 September 1984 meeting have been approved and are attached for your information. 25X1 2. As the Chairman stated at the IG/CI meeting, he intends to promptly forward the proposed options to the SIG-I incorporating rephrasing or changes as decided upon by the IG/CI. The meeting was opened at 1005 hours by Judge William H. Webster, Chairman, who stated the meeting was being held to discuss the 17 options developed in response to direction from the Chairman of the SIG-I. The Chairman emphasized that the National Security Council (NSC) had asked that those options be formulated. During the meeting, agreement on each option would be sought and those options to go forward to the SIG-1 would be selected. Judge Webster further stated that if agreement cannot be reached, he, as Chairman, wo forward the options to the SIG-I with individual agency positions included. 25X1 2. Judge Webster stated that before discussing the options he wanted to review progress on seven proposals on which the IG/CI had previously reached agreement. *See Attachment 1 for a list of attendees.
