SUBJECT: Minutes of 12 January 1984 Executive Committee
Meeting: IG Recommendations Concerning
(1) Overseas Construction and Renovation and
(2) Cohabitation Policy
. 1. The Executive Committee met on 12 January 1984 to
discuss overseas construction and. renovation requirements and to
review Agency policy on employee cohabitation overseas. Both
topics-were the subject of recommendat-ions in the IG survey of
the East Asia Division. A paper titled "DO Facilities
Requirements and Implementation Study," and a.draft revision of
ovided the background for the discussions.

Committee meeting, by noting that the IG's EA Division survey had
called for a book cable policy directive to the field and a
review of the regulation and of compliance with the regulation in
the field and at Headquarters.

and should'specify how decisions will be made. He pointed out
that the process used by the alien marriage panel worked well.
Mr. Gates suggested that decisions on cohabitation should be made
by D/Pers in consultation with the head of the career service.
