SUBJECT: NSA Participation on the Science and Technology
Advisory Panel Planning Group (STAP) -
INFORMATION MEMORANDUM
Thank you for inviting NSA to have a representative on the
STAP Planning Group. I believe it will be mutually beneficial to
take advantage of all the exceptional S&T talent available to the
community. I look forward to our direct participation and the
opportunity for closer interaction with STAP.
I would like my Chief Scientist,
to represent NSA on the STAP Planning Group. His oversight and
guidance of S&T at NSA should provide the kind of interface that
we need. This should result in an improved community-wide
understanding of some of our most challenging problems and
consequently greater opportunity to identify solutions.
LYNCOLN D. FAURER
Lieutenant General, USAF
Director, NSA/Chief, CSS
