Dear Mr. Chairman:
Today we had the pleasure of honoring Mr. James Bush at a luncheon
here in the Agency dining room. In addition to offering personal
good-byes and good wishes, senior Agency officials who have had the
pleasure of working with him over the past seven years used this occasion
to express their appreciation by awarding him the Agency Seal Medallion.
We feel that Jim's contribution to the intelligence effort of our
government has been considerable. His understanding, willingness to
learn and dedication served his government well. We found Jim a fair
critic who was willing to give advice and counsel and do so with a
balance that was constructive to the national intelligence effort.
We will miss Jim and wish to express to you our admiration of a man
who has served his country so well.
