Approved For Release 2008/05/06: CIA-RDP86B00985R000100090036-4 Central Intelligence Agency I was pleased to have met you in Wisconsin last weekend. Hopefully at some point in the next few months you will be able to participate in one of our seminars on South Asia. Scholars who have joined sessions here in the past have found them stimulating. Our analysts appreciate the opportunity to test their views on outside observers; our senior managers also value L;l hearing "outside" viewpoints. We hope you will assist us in our search for additional analysts with graduate training on South Asia. We have openings for men and women interested in contemporary political, economic, social, and military affairs. The positions require strong analytical skills and the ability to write straightforward prose and to brief senior officials. US citizenship is a requirement, the positions are in the Washington, D.C. area, and all analysts are open employees of the Agency. A graduate degree--or degrees--is almost essential. Salary is negotiable with factors such as education, training, work experience, language skills, etc., being taken into account. We normally hire a Ph.D with, limited experience at the GS-11 level-- about $24,508 per year. Candidates for employment can write directly to me. They should enclose a writing sample and resume.
