The enclosed norand*aa, in which -oa hav.. previously
concurred both as "gibers of the Security :Council and
as heads of the xecut~ive Departments represented thereon, was
transmitted to the addressees on the date indicated.
The survey -roup is already in the process of makiag
a survey of the. Central Intelli eace Agency itself. The group
now advises e that it is prepared to be in the survey of the
intelligence acti? ities of the .elart'rte:`lts represented on the
/national -'ecurity council.
It is, therefore, requested that the heads of each
of the ecutivc ;apartments represent >d oil ;;he Council advise
their respective intellience chiefs of the enclosed memorandum
so that they may be prepared to cooperate with the survey
group.
