CROSS REFERENCE MEMO: FOR FILES (DULLES REPORT)
Subject: AEC Comments
1. Dr. Walter F. Colby, Director of Intelligence, Atomic
Energy Commission, wrote on February 24 to DCI in answer to DCI's
memo of February 11 re Dulles Report.
PAGE 63, CONCLUSION 6: AEC wishes to remain on IAC,
especially to the extent o receiving a free flow of intelligence,
although it admits "the deliberations of the IAC in the past
have been of only moderate interest and benefit to the Commission."
PAGE 91: AEC favors the new Scientific Office in CIA, and
the transfer -of the Nuclear Energy Group to that office.
PAGE 9: Recruiting personnel from ABC for participating
directly in NNEG approved.
PAGE 10: AEC is an important consumer of information
collectedby special operations and should also assist in guiding
its collection efforts.
