Colby, Director of Intelligence, Atomic Energy Commission, wrote on February 24 to DCI in answer to DCI's memo of February 11 re Dulles Report. PAGE 63, CONCLUSION 6: AEC wishes to remain on IAC, especially to the extent o receiving a free flow of intelligence, although it admits "the deliberations of the IAC in the past have been of only moderate interest and benefit to the Commission." PAGE 91: AEC favors the new Scientific Office in CIA, and the transfer -of the Nuclear Energy Group to that office. PAGE 9: Recruiting personnel from ABC for participating directly in NNEG approved. PAGE 10: AEC is an important consumer of information collectedby special operations and should also assist in guiding its collection efforts. The original of this letter is in the Director's files.
