Approved For Release 2004/06/29 : CIA-RDP86B00269R000300010047-6 13 September 1954 Lt. General James H. Doolittle New York, New York Dear General Doolittle: STAT I have aske o kindly hand you this letter and suggest that you destroy it when it has served its purpose. 25X1 Enclosed are brief curriculum vitae of certain of the key men of the organisation whom you will meet on your trip with their background of experience, Kindle destroy these memoranda when you are finished witil m. As you may recall, I bad planned to brief you this week 25X1 personally and alone on several particularly sensitive operations. In view of the change of plans this has not been possible, but one 25X1 of these operations is being handled we have instructed our 25X1 to brief you on these operations. I will of course leave to your own good judgment the extent you 25X1 may wish to brief any other members of your group. Here in the office knowledge of these matters is restricted to very. 25X1 very few persons. 25X1 On my trip esterday, I did not get a real chance to discuss with the asst problem of coordination between your group and that of General Clark's. I did tell him, however, of the progress your group is making and mentioned your trip. I believe the best solution would be a talk between you and General Clark with the Boss on the latter's return to Washington. Possibly there should be a preliminary talk with Herbert Hoover. This morning I had a brief word with John Hollister, Executive Director of the Hoover Committee, who also seems most anxious to avoid unnecessary duplication in the work of the two groups. Good luck on your trip and I am delighted you are taking Faithfully yours, Allen W.
