Joint Study Group
Recommendation Y1,16--Establishment of a National Photo-
graphic Intelligence Center:
TSCID k3 ., approved on 18 January 1961, established
the national Photographic Intelligence Center (TP1C).
The Center is administered by CIA as a service of
common concern; personnel are provided by CIA and
the military services. The NPIC is scheduled to
move to permanent quarters in the fall of 1962.
