Abstract: Artificially fertilized sea urchfn (Strongiloaqattrow-9 nuclus) e~tgs

mitosis. The number of surviving eggs was, found to be hillhest .1miong those ex-

The thiol level was also highest in the metaphaBe and loduait I!n tha teloplisse-

30 minutes. They remained in the sawa stage of mitosis aj; whea flicy were
first placed in the solution. Transfer to fresh seavateri, hmtiiviPr, resulted
in gradual restoration of division. Irradiation of eggs kept Ln seTwater and
ether solution affected the rndiosen!sitivity of both egg Wassal; equally. rhe
changes in thiol level of the eggs kept in ether were parla1lelod by the changas
in degree of radiosensitivity. Thus, alteration of radtcwensLtivity durLng
