The powder obtained by subjecting homogeneous epidermis to a temperature of -70
to -90' C. could be stored at a temperature of +2 to +46 C. for a period of even!
several months without any change In its cellular structure; this provided a basis
for its application in 50 patients with traumatic, thermal or trophic skin defects..
The beneficial effect of powdered epidermis was evidenced by the, covering of the
wound by a membrane formed of epidermal elements and the exudate from the
wound. This membrane is maintained even for several weeks and.falls off as a

these machines are the result of.systematic research work which has been
carried out at the Plant since 1948. The semi-automatic for the emery-

semi-automatio for the emery-grinding o-f the lowor and upper cylinder block
surfaces, t.e. cylinder faces, valve apertures, gear~'box surfaces and crank
bearings, poseessea two 37 kw motors of 1,500 rpm. The grinding wheele ham

operation. The semi-automatic 4for the emery-grinding,of three transmission
case surfaces is Intended for the removing of foundry~ gates and deburring.
1he casting is 3et by hand in the fixture on the machine carriage, automa-
tically clamped and, together with the,,carriage, carries out reciprocating,
movements. The semi-automatic has three motors of 28 kw,,1,500 rpmj for
the grinding heads and one 2.8 km motor of 1,000 rpm'for the feed. ' The feed
speed during the machining is 4-3 m/min. The capacity of:this semi-a.uto-
