Lindgren's encephalographic method was used In 40 patients and encephalograms
made with small quantities of air were compared with those made with the usual
quantity, in 3 cases also accompanied by ventriculography. Space-occupying
processes were present only in these 3 cases, the other cases representing
degenerative processes, epilepsy, etc. The authors conclude that Lindgren's
fractioning method can be used with success chiefly in cases of space-occupying
