On basis of vinylpropyl and vinylisopropyl others, worked out methods for quant detn
of vinyl others. Hydrolytic oximation of ether in presence of hydroxylamine chloride
yields good results it other contains 20% ale. Greater $ of ale results in lengthy
procedure and Incomplete detn. Hydroxylamine sulfate gives unsatisfactory quant detn
sinee it does not cause total oximation. Iodometria method gives satisfactory results
for mixts contg any ratio of ether to ale.

ABSTRACT: In earlier papers (Refs 1,2) it was shown that the
double bond in the a,P position to the sulfur atom
is considerably less active in ion reactions of the
compound and in pol, imerizations, than the 3,---te bond
under the action of the oxygen atom. In the present
paper the authors mention some data on the chemical
behaviour of vinyl other of monothioethjlene glycol. Its
complete vin-fl ether is of interest as it contains
in one molecule both type-- of double bonds. In the

TITLE; New photomaterial of the NIKFI for spectrum analyses in the
short-wave region of ultraviolet radiation
PERIODICAL: Akademiya nauk SSSR. Izvestiya. Seriya fizicheskaya, v. 26,
no. 7, 1962, 967-968
TMT: This report given at the XIV Soveshchaniye po spektroskopii
(XIV Conference on Spectroscopy) deals with new films for vacuum ultra-
violet radiation. The Tm-l.Ji (RM-1L) film with highly sensitive emulsion
sensitized with luminohpores had been developed by the NIKFI
(A. 0. Kondakhchan) and the Shostkinskiy khimicheskiy zavod (Sho8tka
Chemical Plant). The ~~-ilAlk (UP-NIKFI) film little sensitive to
visible light., with an emulsion consisting of highly concentrated silver
halide and small amounts of gelatin,' was produced by a method (thin-layer
separation) developed by K. S. Bogomolov, M. Yu. Deberdeyev,A.A.Sirotinskiy
and members of the NIMIMASh. The new films, especially UP-NIXFI

have adequate photographic stability (8 months). Studies'with a AIIC-6
(DFS-6) vacuum spectrograph to determine the sensitivity of the new films
showed that RIIA-1L and UF-NIKFI is suitable for regions of 3500-700 R and
1500?-200 2, respectively. There are 3 figures.
