plot field experiments were conducted in 1952-
1955 in the Selivanuir 1hyon of Vladirdrakaya

of perennial lupine must be carried out at the
start of winter (in the second half of Navenber)

note investigates a new method based on the theory of statistical solutions according to the
general sampling approach corresponding to the set of possible situations. The moment
method Is utilized for the estimate of unknown parMeters In the case of more general multi-
i dimensional normal distributions belonging to two recognizable classes. The covariant
matrix established for the case of such a multidimensional normal distribution also remains

crudes, the authors completed a chromatographic analysis over silica gel (0. 25-0.5 mm)

distilling capacity equal to 36 theoretical plates). Fractions at 140-160C were hydrogenated
over Raney nickel and sulfides isolated from fractions at 160-190C were purified with
picric, acid to remove aromatic hydrocarbons. Using described identification procedures,
the authors found 13 cyclic sulfides, basically C8H16S with an admixture of C-7HjjS and
C61112S, and Identified 2-methylthlacyclohexane, 3-methylthiacyclohexane, 4-methylthiacycl-
hexane, 2-methyl-5-ethyl thiophane, 2-propyl thlophane, 2,5-diethyl thlophane and 2-
methyl-5-propylWophane. Orig. art. has: 11 graphs and 3 tables.

Abstract With the determination in 75 patients of virus hepatitis
and in 25 patients of other diseaseF of the liver, an in-
crease was established of 7-351 and sometimes of 98%., in
the content of aldolase (an enzyme c,italyst in the metabo-
lism of carbohydrates processed by the liver) in serum,
in the course of the second and third week of illness with
virus hepatitis. Determination of aldola8e is proposed as
a test for the differential diagnosis of epidemic hepati-
tis.

TEXT: In the introduction, the direct and indirect correlation between
the time-dependent changes of the gravitational field and the vertical
motion of the Earth's crust are discussed, and two symbolic relations
for this purpose are given. In the geophysical laboratory of the
Kompleksnaya yuzhnaya geologioheskaya ekspeditBiya Akademii nauk SSSR
(Geological Expedition to the South for Comprehensive Studies of the
Academy of Sciences, USSR)t which was under the supervision of A. T.
_Donaj~edov, systematic investigations were carried out in 1957 or the
indirect relations between the-gravitational fields and the vertical
motions of the Earth's crust. At the same time, the characteristic

Crust, the Gravitational Fields, and the Elements of the Earth's Structure
features of the structural elements of the Earth's crust were inveatigat-
ed. From data, which were determined in the territory of the Caspian
Sea, relations between the gravitational anomalies and the vertical
motione were found to exist. Three main types of relations, viz. a so-
called direct, an inverseq and an indefinite relation, were discussed.
From the diagrams of these measurements (Figs. 2-3) for the profiles
Rostov - Sallsk (Fig. 2) and Stalingrad - Krasnodar (Fig. 3) carried
out in consideration of other profiles, several conclusions are drawn
and discussed in detail. There are 3 figures and 1 Soviet reference.
