Abstract Of the tested actinomycetes (53 strains), approximately 35.8%
manifested antagonism to phytopathogenic bacteria. The
broadest spectrum of activity was manifested by A. globis-
porus flaveolus, which inhibited development of all the
bacteria tested (Bacterium malvacearum, Bact. juglandia,
Bact. lachrymans, Bact. tomato, Bact. sambuci, Bacillus

Abstract: In order to train bees, 5 g of lucerne blossoms
which were gathered at 4-6 o'clock in the morning
were used for I liter of syrup (1:1). The syrup
was mixed during the day, filtered at 6 otclock
In the evening and given to the bees as supple-
mentary food for 17 days beginning at the moment
when 1/3 mf the blossoms had opened. Five to
seven beehives were placed on each 1 hectare of
lucerne; the trained bees worked upon the lucerne

queen bees once a year regularly. Under such a
system, for each 20 colonies two record-breaking
colonies and five nuclei for pairing the queen
bees are necessary. In order to avoid the un-
desirable aspects of interbreeding closely
related species, efforts have been made to mate

A primary malignant neoplasm of the pericardium was found in a woman aged 61.
It probably originated from an epicardial leaf at the base of the heart and led to
obliteration of the pericardial sac and constriction of the heart. Clinically, it wils
manifested a's progressive heart failure. I-ristological!y, it was identical with the neo-
plasms described as endo-mesocoelotheliomas. invasion of the tumour into the Myo-
cardium. was found. The views of various authors concerning cndotlieliomas as mor-
phological entities are discussed.
