thiazole as being effective vulcanization accelerators of mixtures of natural and
synthetic butadiene-styrene rubber, This subject was given detailed consideration
In Ref. 1-3. It is stressed by the authors of this article that diethylaminomethyl-
-;2-thl.obenzothiazole, a respresentative of the group under discussion, being close
in its properties to the accelerator, used at present in industry, sulfenamide BI,
differs from it, however, by ensuring a higher rate of vulcanization of the rubber
mixtures at the initial stage. Besides, the sulfenamide BT accelerator Is diffi-
cult to store, The authors also point out that the BIMA accelerator does no-,
have many of the shortcomings which the latter accelerator does. They list the
physical and chemical properties of BIMA and specify how it can. be obtained In
the laboratory. In o-der to utilize BTMA in Industry, for tire manufacturing,

duction of 131MA accelerator into the protective mixtures of butadiene-sty.-rene
rubber (SKS-30 AM), instead of sulfenamide BTI, and also into the mixture of
butadiene-styrene and natural rubber (a-, the ratio 70130), containing various
types of carbon black, has very little effei~-t on the plastic-elas tic properties
of these mixtures and leads-to the Droduction of vulcanizates equal to those with
sulfenamide BT In their physloo-mechanical. properties, An experimental batch of
tires was producPd using the BTMA accelerator in the protectilie mixture. The
technical properties of this proteitive rubber, &c3ording to static and dynamic
test data, and according to the durabilit,
y of the tire casings under stand rolling
tests, are actually equal to those of the seria-1 rubber, containing the BT1

This table was compiled with the Greatest possible accuracy as well as with the
greatest possible completeness, but it was nevertheless not pos3ible to analyze
every experiment quite exactly in the course of compilation. The table is in-
tended to be used in laboratories as well as for the purposes of instruction,
and it consideres data published in leading journals up to 1956.
Particles, the existence of which is reliably confirmed: The 18 elementary par-
ticles mentioned here (on this occasion the positive and negative charges are
counted separately) are subdivided into 5 groups. The first group contains par-
ticles the rest mass of which is smaller than or equal to that of the electron.
L-mesons: m < m - < m +, K-mesons: m
e L-meson `,~ TE R+ < mK-meson mp.,ton'
nucleons: proton and neutron, hyperons: m neutron < mbyperon' mdeuteron' is the
definition of the other groups. The sixth grou which consists of the "non-
elementary" particles deuteron, triton, and He3 has been mentioned in order to
show the binding energies at magnetic moments of the smaller formations con-
sisting of nucleons. The single columns contain: the usual denomination of par-
ticles and their charge, the masses (also according to the computations of
A.H.'V;APSTRA, Physics, 21, 367 (1955)), the rest energy, the decay schemes known

TEXT: Two specialized continuously-operating computers are descri-
bed. The first composes under industrial conditions mixtures con-
taining up to 10 different compontents. The corresponding mathemati-.
cal problem reduces to the solution of 10 linear algebraic equa-
tions, wh.ose coef"ficients are determined from the results of chemi-
cal analyses, the type of cast-iron, and the characteristics of the
.Lurnace. A transformer circuit is used for solving the system of
equations. Automatic computation of waste is carried out by means
of an electronic b-;,idge circuit. The final results are printed on
