An oxanination6f the bands in the 95o-650 rame.loads to the conclusion that the extraplana.r vibrations of the C-H bonds of the laromoatic rings of.bipyridyls retain their characteristics, so that the data obtained, "permit.one to correlate the frequencies of the'extrapl~nar vibritions,of bipyridyls-:.... and thei r derivatives with the.spectra of the corresponding pyridine.and benzene..
