Dehydrate and mount..Result: basophilic cells: deep blue; eosinophilic cells: carmine red; chromophobe cells: grey; nuclei: greyish black; erythrocytes: orange; fuchsino- philic colloid: carmine red; fuchsinophobe colloid: greyish black; connective tissue: deep blue. Pancreas: procedure slightly modified. (3) Oxidation 0.5-1 min. (5) Nu_ clear staining: 1 hr. (7) Staining of granules: 10-15 min. and thereafter (8) differ- entiation with 96% alcohol (3-5 min.). Result: plasma of exocrine cells: greyish blue; zymogen granules: carmine red sometimes orange. alpha-cells of Islets: red or orange, beta-cells of Islets deep blue.
