TITLE: A new circuit for a linear-variable voltame aenerator
PERIODICAL: Telecomunicatii, no. 2, 1962, 67-70
TEM': The article describes a new linear-variable voltage generator and
its operational elements, i.e. the linear dipole, the thyratron, and the cathode
follower. Figure 8 shows the circuit of the generator. The charging or dis-
charging control of the capacitor is accomplished by "sclf-excitation". The
capacitor is charged by a gas discharge tube, which has an increasing slope of
the anodic current of approx. 0.25 vbtsec. The time constant of the circuit is
very small. The rough variation of the output voltage frequency is accomplished
by the switch c, while the fine.variation of the frequency is achieved by the
potentiometer P, which may also be used for the control of the amplitude of the
output voltage. The potentiometer P, is used for the compensation of the alnpli-
tude variation of the output voltage and for the fine tuning of the frequency.

These haemoptyser sometimes started spontaneously, sometimes after severe
coughing which often began with a change in attitude and sometimes ended in a sort
of cold or asthma-tike attack. In all cases the quantities of blood were small.
Probably. the nervous irritation brought about by them sutures causes part of these
phenomena, Bronchoscopy often failed to indicate the cause, but the clinical develop-
ment revealed it: after one or more sutures were coughed up, the symptoms
disappeared. Kromsigt - Emmen (XV, 9. 11)

ABSTRACT: In a study of parainfluenza hemagglutination inhibition antibodies carried
out on 500 human serum samples, the authors found that the most widespread type
determining the highest antibody level in the population is the type 3. Next are
type i (Copenhagen and Sendai), and less frequent is type 2 (CA). Ecaterina, Ghenescu

The origin of an autohaemolysis of long duration (called by the authos biological
autohaamolysial) is always syphilitic. Transitory autohaemolysis may occur in non,
syphilitics. The titre of autohasmolysia is always low, that of the reacting agent
(reagin) may be high. The substance which participates in the autohnamolysin is
contained in the blobulin fraction. Artificial autohasmolysis can only be produced
in sera of persons inclined to such changes.
