A practical four-day field exercise was part*of the agenda, and procedures in the field are described# as in a plan for tactical and special exercises. Fiz.-matem, fak. 1956-1957 (1958), 51, No 1, 151-159 Abstract : A measurement vas made of the specific electric con- ductivity of "Muskovit" mica. In the temperature ran- ge from 300 to 6000 C in electl^ic fields from 10 to 200 x 103 v/cm,. In all the investigatod temperature ranges, three regions we:.-e established for the varia- tion of the electric conductivity with the field.. In the first region Ohm's law holds. The critical magnitude of the electric.,field in this region in- creases with increasing t'Amp"erature. In the second Card 1/2 BULGARTik/Electricity - Dielectric. G Abs jour Ref Zhur Fizika, No 12, 1959, 27665 region the electric condu,:tivity increases with i;i- creasing intensity of the electric field in accor- dance with the Poci law up to fields of -- 2.1 x 1o5 ,-,/cm. At still higher fields the increase in electric conductivity does not satisfy the Frenkel formula. In the thir,1 region the electric conductivity increa- ses slowly with the field. At high temperatures (4oo and 4500 C) a tendency towards saturation appears to- gether with the merging of all three regions. At still higher temperatures ( - 5000 C) the only region observed is one in which Ohm's law is satisfied. The increase in the electric conductivity in the second region at temperatures of 400 and 4500 C can be ex- plained with th- aid of the Ioffe theory (Ann. Physik, 1932, 72, 461 - 500). Consequently, Lt seems worth studying the properties of known couplings 47f this type in detail with the aim of establishing definite engineering recommendations for the choice of pertinent parameters, elementa, etc.. The so-called bridge ce'- _jqoutx1_in&,is-ra,.tIier seldom used because, according to the majority of authors, it I~cantaius tdo matty-- e emeat:%,- _aa;f the increased resistance af the r-yr-Lin circuit Makes the achievement of tar rting, ft-o-m-io-W-4-vokage p ger current-% ata Use sources SM 4.~6 dif ficult. However, am appropriate choice of cores and diodes and a correct deter- :'Mination- of -turn numbers may make this type of coupling desirable because: 1) there is a ccmptete absence of any information exchange between the cores during the intervals between the cycle pulses; 2) information can be branched from one :Core to a aumber of other cores; 3) the circuit is relatively economical since the remagnatized core plays the role of an additional resistance in the bridge loop redistributing the currents into the bridge arms without producing any emf in the output coil but securing sufficient ampere-turns within the coupling loop for the remagnetization of (one or more) other cores; and 4) there are no stringent requirements imposed an the hysteresis loop. The discussion of the Aogical circuits using bridge-connected cells is followed by the calculations for ja two-stroke bridge cell and the temperature stability of such.circuits. TITLEi Cold Pressing of Electrodes (Kholodno7e v7davlivaniye elek- trodov) PERIODICAL: Avtomobilfnaya promyshlennostf, 10,58, Nr 4, pp 26-27 (USSR) ABSTRACT: The technological processes involved in the manufacture of copper or copperalloy electrodes of various dimensions (Fi- gure 1) used for spot welding in the automobile industry wasted up to 55 %o of the metal. NIITAvtoprom together with the Moscow Midpet Car Plant have worked out and intro- duced into the production process a wasteless technology of cold Dressing of electrodes on the hydraulic 25-ton P-462 press of the Chkalovskiy Zavod "Metallist" (Chkalov "Metal- list" Plant) with its low hydraulic extractor. This method is based on tests of the Gorlkovskiy avtozavod (Gor1kiy Au- tomobile Plant). The designs of the press (Figure 2), punch (Figure 3') and the adapter pieces (Figure 4) are described and discussed. The cold-pressed and sharpened electrodes Card 1/2 are shown on figure 5. In addition to the economy of ma- -Cold Pressing of Electrodes 130Y/7 1 3-5R-4 --91PI terial, the work expenditure is decreased by 3 times by the new process. It is surrrested that one atitomobile D18nt e3tablish a department for the manufacture of electrodes for spot welding by the new method and serve the entire economic district, There are 4 diagrams and 1 photo, ASSOCIATION: NIITavtoprom and Moskovskiy zavod malolitrazhnykh avtomo- bil6y (The Moscow Yidget Car Plant) 1.
