acid (1) and with two of its derivatives: dibromo' anthranilic (II) and
4-nitroanthranilic acids (III).. The best results areobtained-by using I.
11 and III are less sensitive and the colo;ed iolutions obtained are
inauffiolently stablo. The maximum light absorption of the Au3+ complex
with I in found at 533 m~L(filter'S 53 ), the optimum p11 value is 5-4-5.
-The Beer rule is valid at Au concentrations from 6.84 to 82.12 elml.
Addition of pyridine does not.much affect the ab6orption. To determine

Abstract : Two methods were used for the extraction of chloro-
picrin (I) from organs of a human being, which had committed
suicido,by poisining. These methods were: l/ treatment of
the organs with steam and 2/ extraction with ethyl alcohol
with a following treatment with steam. The presented re-
sults show that the first method yields better results. No
poison was dotocted.in the cerebrum and spleen. The great-
est amount of I was found in the stomach and its contents
and, in a decreasing order, in the kidneys, liver, intesti-

Abstract LAuthors' English summary modified]: The authors describe
a campaign against teniasis in.a town where several cases'of Taenia

ap'pication of three approaches: effective treatment of carriers;
determination of the extent of infestation; sanitary Precautions
and sanitary-hygienic education of the entire population.

Abstract: The authors found that heating to 75 degrees centigrade
for periods ranging from 5 to 220 minutes did not cause a suspension
of infected mouse brain to lose its infectivity, indicating that
viral ribonucleic acid does not seem to be affected by heat treat-
ment at this temperature. However, the highly polymerized tissue
molecules showed significant changes in chromatographic properties
within the first 5 minutes of heating.
