ABSTRACT: Reference is made to the investigations carried out in this field,
and especially to the book by fE.V. Uff&ONTOVA: "The Trilobites
and BrAchyopods of the Lower Cambrian in Eastern Siberia" , Moscow
1951, and several correotions are maLde, pax-ticularly as regards the
age of variour fauna oomplcxea and their deposits. It in sa-id that
the bituminous slate of the Olenek region in the lower Cambrism
corresponds to the deposits of the Lem layers of the Sinsko-
Botam region, and, furthennore, that the decrease of thickness (by
more than tenfold) in comparison to the Lena cross sections is the
result of other and more restless conditions for the aocu=Llation
of the sediments in the Lena stage. The latter in some cases led to
the annihilation of entire individual horizons and even of the entim
layer. (2 Illustrations and 9 Slavic references).
