It is shown that the equation of Yerofeyev (1) is applicable to this process. The exponent n appear- ing in this equation is equal to 1 at law temperatures, increasing with temperature. and reaching 1.66 at 3690. With rise in temperature the velocity maxirmlyn is shifted to 50% decomposition. Energy of acti- Card 1/3 _20- Category: USSR / Physical Chemistry - Kinetics. Combustion. Rolosives. Topodbemistry. Decomposition of I occurs i1a stages: 1) HiC O,= NiO + CO + CO,; 2) NIO + CO - -Ni + CO . By approximate thermodynamic calculations it is shown that the decomposition of I with formation of metal oxide and acid anhydride is more advantageoui, from energy standpoint, than the decomposition to metal and radical. By means of the rule of Lugi- nin the heat of formation value of I has been estimated and was found to be of 2D6 kcal. II. A study was nade, between 369 and 42DO., of the thermal decompo- sition of the dihydrate of manganese oxal te (n). Decomposition of II takes place according to equation (1), in vhich the value of ex- ponent n varies from 1.07 to 1.42, depending on temperature and per- centage of decomposition. Radiofiz. fak., 5, 155 - 158) =T: An installation was developed for measuring the velocity of super- sonic oscillations in polymer solutions by the light. diffraction method on a supersonic grating with an error not exceeding 1.5 - 1.%j. Studied was the velocity change of the supersonic oscillations in the aqueous solutions of al- bumens (plasma albumin of human blood) subjected to the action of various doses of ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of.A.- 2,540 A. Determined was the exist- ence of the aftereffects of the ultraviolet rays, manifested in the gradual retuln of the velocity magnitude of supersonic oscillations to the values corresponding to the non-irradiated albumen. Using GOmbri's method. a study was made of the modifications in the alkal- ine phosphatase activity in the pathological tissues formed. The conjunctivo-glial tissue of sclerosis has a weak phosphatatic activity, except for the proliferative stumps. On the borderline between the cicatrix and the cerebral parenchyma, the enzymatic activity is localized either only in the walls of the capillaries, or in a small pericapillary zone. In the lesions resulting from softening of the brain, the enzymatic activity is present on the periphery or in the macrophages. The hyalinized or sclerosed vessels do not contain enzymes.
