in the blood serum diring hypothermy depends on the dose of 'lytic mixture' and on
the degree of cooling. The admanistratton of larger doses of the drug and mo.-e

Local pain fcllowing fracture may disturb the normal state of autonomic n-erves so
that post- tratimatic osteodystrophy can develop. X-ray therapy was used in 31 pa-
tients with the Sudeck syndrome mostly following fracture of the distal end of
radius. Louz,l irradiation of carpal bones, irradiation of the midbrain and the com.
bination of b)th were applied. All 3 methods gave very good results, which could
be demonstrited roentgenologically by recalcification and clinically by disappear-
