Abstract: [Authors' English summary modified] Certain properties of various
Triticum-Agropyron hybrids were studied qualitatively and quantitatively.
Hybrid vigor was observed in the height of the hybrid pUnts. The dimensions
of the ligules and the dry matter content of the culs were found to be go-
verned by heredity and are transmitted In an Intermediate form. Hybrid vigor
was observed, in some combinations, with respect to the length of leaf blades
and,in most eases, with respect to the length of the sheath and number of
productive shoots, and dominant transmission of leaf number was observed In
hybrids derived from one of the kgropyron species. The bybrIA vigor decreased
in vegetative propagation In seven-year old plants of the 71 generation. Of
18 references, 14 are Eastern European and 4 are Western.

Abstract: Curves with characteristic double Deaks were
plotted in the study of the temperature depen-
dence of the susceptibility of Co, in a highly
intensive magnetic field. The tefuperatures cor-
responding to the above curves were determined;
the data on single crystals coincide with the
experimental results obtained for poly-crystals.
The effect upon the susceptibility Df the phase
transformation was also investip,ated.

Title Tewperature Dependence of the Differential Susceptibility
of Cobalt in Strong Maguetic Fields.

Abstract Curves with two anximm were obtained for the temperature
dependence of the differentima susceptibility of cobalt
in strong magnetic fields. Various portions of these cur-
ves can be explained on the basis of the theory of rota-
tion processes. At a teoperature of 2940, there is a
sharp local minim= of differential susceptibility. on
the basis of ansurew-te wade by Socksmith & Thompson
(see Referat Zhur rizika, 1955, 14271), carried out on a

Abstract iAn investigation was made of the ragnetio permeability of
the magnetite powder, mixed with paraffin, in the frequen-
cy range from 1000 to 3000 Mo (,~, = 30 -- 10 om) for various
concentrations of magnetite. The powder grains were 10 mi-
crone in size. The pernwability was determined from the
nault of the measurement of the input impedances of a ohort.-

ABSTRACT: The weldability of 14GZT steel containing 0.06-0.15% Ti made at the
Zaporozhstal' plant in basic open-hearth oxygen furnace* was experimentally
