SABSTRACT: These investigations involved mixtures of amorphous polypropylene (APP)
(mol. wt. 25 700) with amorphous polyisobutylene (APIB) (mol. wt. 100 000)., and of
crystalline isotactic polypropylene (CPP) (mol. wt. 347 000) with polyethylene
,(CPE) (mol. wt. 20 000). Hixtures in'ratios 1:0,, 3:1P ltl, 1:3., and 0:1 were
!prepared from solutions of the polymers in decaline at 130-14OG by precipitation
:with acetone. They were dried in va2uum at 100G, Films of the amorphous compbnada
were pressed at 150C under 100 P/cm p and films of the crystalline components were
