ABSTRACT: This patent introduces a method for making a choke to nuprers transmission
of supersonic frequencies in the 10-500 kc range on outside installations and high-
tepsion cables. The choke is made by weaving conductive tape into a hollow disc-shaped
coil. The best type of conductive tape is made from aluminum w1th an interlayer of
ar,-t4ficial insulation. Thr conductive tape should be at least ~0 times as long as it

diameter. The coil Is then heated to the ooftening point of the glass fabric and the
edges are pressed. After cooling, the coil is removed from the furnace in the form of ~
a solid unit vith machanical resistance to short-circuit currents. (Translation) I
