Optilca i spektrosicopiya, 1959, Vol 7, Nr 3, pp 398-406 (USSR) .%BSMCT: Ca rd 1/4 The paper reports the results of an experimental study of the dependence of the ornission characteristics of an alectro-phosphor on parameters of the electric field which has acted on the phosphor before the particular moment considered. The phosphor was excited with square voltage pulses from a special generator shown schematically in Fig 1. This ganerator consisted of four parallel circuits and had two outputs by means of which several independently controlled series of pulses could be produced. A photomultiplier F3U-19 was used as the receiver of electroluminaBconce. Two wide-band oscillographs were used: one to record the voltage pulses and the other the corresponding light pulses Fhosphors of ZzL-Cu(Pb,Cl) and ZnS-Gu,CI types were used. They were placed together with a solid organic dielectric (total thickness 30-100 ii) between the plates of a capacitor. One of these plitas was made of transuarent conducting glass and the other was a layer of an SOV/51-7-3-16/21 The 3ffect of Electrical Pro-ifistory ofARlectro-PPhosphor on the Characteristics of its Emission when Excited with Short Voltage Pdlses aluminium. The capacitance of the cmbined layer was about 100 pF/=2. In this paper the authors used the term "brightness" In the sense of the magnitude of the electric signal at the photomultiplier, which war proportional to the light flux reaching the photo-cathode of the multiplier. When the phosphor was excited with consecutive voltage pulses of the saise amplitude, polarity and period, a light pulse was observed corresponding to each voltage pulse. Each light pulse was found to consist of two peaks: a "front" peak occurring at the moment of the voltage rise and a "rearn peak corresponding to the fall of voltage (Fig 2). ?he ratio of the heights of the two light peaks was found to depend strongly on the period of the exciting voltage pulses and on temperature. When voltage pulses of 10 see repetition period were used the "front" peak practically disappeared (Figs 3-5). It also disappeared i,,jhen temperuture was raised to 70-1000C (Fig 6). The higher the phosphor temperature, the fastar the decrease of the "front" peak amplitude with incraose of the voltage pulse repetition period (Fig 7). The pulse generator of Fig 1 visa also used to apply three series of pulses (Fig 8) u1multaneously or in pairs. These combinations of pulses were used for a more detuiled study of the nature of the light pulse. Class 17, No. 187050 SOURCE: Izobreteniya, promyshlennyye obraztsy, tovarnyye znaki, no. 2o, 1966, 44 TOPIC TAGS: refrigeration equipment, turbine, ventilation fan ABSTRACT: This Author's Certificate introduces a turborefrigerator for pressurized cabins and instrument sections of aircraft. The installation contains a housing, turbine and blower all mounted on a shaft set in air-cooled ball bearings. The unit is designed for improved cooling and reduced weight. Longitudinal cooled air supply channels are made in the housing at the level of the turbine blade base. These chELn- nels communicate with the cavity between the screen and the cover. The shaft bear- ings are mounted on the ends of a thin walled housing with reinforced flanges which have sloping holes for coolant circulation. Production Line Docks Grazhdanskaya Aviatsiya, 1960, No. 6, p. 6. TEXT: The authors describe a mobile repair dock forwt -14 (Il-14) aircraft designed by the plant collective under the supervision of I. Ivasik. The dock is made of welded channel-steel and resembles a trolley-frame on rails along which the aircraft is moved as shown in the figure. The aircraft is suspended inside the dock and repairs are carried out from a number of bridging boards. The dock has two fitter's benches, compressed air is sup- plied from the main line and a 24 v electric power supply is maintained. Upon a number of tests and modifications the production of these docks has been entrusted to the establishment supervised by A. Ovayanikov. The photo- graph shows the fitter V. Makhov of the repair workshop supervised by Kh. Izmiryan working on the landing gear of a Tu-104 aircraft. There is 1 photo- graph and 1 figure. Card 1/1 ORLOV, K., inzh. Made of capron. Orig Pub Zhivotnovodstvo, 1957, No 5, 14-p1 Abstract At the Yaroslav experimental station for animal husbandry, it was determined that the cross-breeding of the Breytovs- kaya, Large White and Livenskaya breed of pigs increases the fertility of the sows (by 1-2 pigs in the litter), the live weight of the pigs at birth (100-200 grams per head), increases the fattening period (by 10-20 days) and justi- fies the expenses of the feed (by 0.3-0.6 food units). Suggestions are made for an organized fattening of pigs. Card 1/1 ORLGVP K,A, dotoont; !LIINSKII, A.A. Betasim in fattening farm animals. Zhivotnovodstvo 23 no,7:7941 JI 161. (KIRA 16:2) 1. Kayalov in his article (No. 10, 1954, this Journal) suggested the erection of 2-story substations for 6-10 kv switchgear instead of the standard 3-story buildings erected for industrial and regional sub- stations.
