TITLE: Negative conductivity pulses in cadmium sulfide crystal counters
PERIODICAL: Referativnyy zhurnal, Fizika, no. 8, 1962, 10, abstract BB56
("Dokl. Bolg. AN", 1961, v.. 14, no. 8, 783 - 785, summary in Prench)*
TEXT: This is a preliminary report on a phenomenon analogous to the nega-
is
tive photoelectric effect, observed in CdS crystal counters. This phenomenon
characterized by the occurrence of a pulse with a polarity corresponding to an in-
crease of its resistance when bombarding the counter with alpha particles. A
picture taken from the oscilloscope screen is presented which indicates the pre-
sence of zones with positive and negative pulses in the crystal. The results ob-
tained are discussed.

AbstractZA-uthors, 1~nglish summary7: The authors stress the clin-
ical and roentgenological symptomatology of postbulbar ulcers
because of their abundant hemorrhages and diagnostic difficul-
ties. They point out that these ulcers very often remain undis-
covered in routine gastroduodenal examinations. By early and
correct diagnosis serious complications can be avoided in a great
degree. 3 Yugoslavv 7 Western references.

Abstract: Poisoning of dogs with chloropen (I) was produced
by daily inhalations through a special mask for
periods of 2 hours (8-20 mg/L I). Within 15-20
days signs of severe liver damage appeared; in-
tense jaundice, the presence in the urine of bil-

convulsions. Despite the critical condition of
the animals, there were no disturbances in the
