TITLE: Weighing machine for testing propellers rotating in

TEXT: In order to investigate the mutual influence of two concen-
trically positioned propellers running in opposite directions under
various working conditions the test rig has been designed in order
to measure simultaneously the drags and torques of each of the two
propellers revolving at various speeds, at varied distances and
witR different positions of blade angles. The best rig was used in
the wind'tunne! (1120 mm air flow area) at the Department of Aero-
dynamics of the Warsaw Polytechnic Institute. The performance of
the model was -studied in order to verify its suitability for dimen-
sional analysis purposes when designing full scale test rig for full
size propellers. The authors give descriptions and drawings of hub
arrangement for adjusting blade.angles, the Wheatstone bridge cir-

test procedure, the results of the preliminary tests*performed on
two-bladed adjustable propellers of known characteristics and the

ed by the Integral relations method, in order to Investigate the Influence of the
