TITLE: Energy spectra of code sequences with a constant weight

ABSTRACT: The energy spectrum of a signal encoded by a binary code having a
constant weight (number of units in the code word) is theoretically determined.
Such an encoded signal is considered as a pulsed random process which
represents sequences of independent code words having length n and number of
n
units N e n/Z; the code alphabet contains W words, and the occurrence of each
word in equally probable. Each word consists of a packet of N square pulses
representing code units in their proper positions. Formulas and a curve for the

ABSTRACT: This to a continuation of a previous work (Radiotekhnika, v. 18,
no. 5, 1963) based on S. 0. Rica's findings (BSTJ* v. 37, no. 3, 1958). The
unknown probability density and integral ifunction of peak-duration distribution
are representedanalytically by an apprc6dmation method which involves theme

function can be evaluated with sufficient accuracy by its first approximation;

Approximation formulas are presented. A "satisfactory agreement" is claimed
between the data estimated by this above method and that experimentally obtained
