Khimiya i khimicheskaya tekhnologiya, 1960, Vol 3, Hr i, pp lig-12i (USSR) TEXT: The authors proved that sulfuryl chloride is a good chlorination reagent for eye ic A-diketoneslEtherp dioxane, M 4, 1,2-dichloroothane, chloroform, and benzene were used as solvents. The highest yields in dichloro4-diketoneB were ob- tained in dioxane at a ratio ofA-diketone 3 sulfuryl chloride - I : 2.5. The re- action was carried out at different temperatures between 0 and 800. At higher temperatures, the reaction proceeds faster, but only 2,2-dichlorodiketones-1,3 (I) are formed. Without a solvent, the reaction proceeds very vigorously, and the product becomes resinous. Application of ultraviolet light (quartz lamp) and anhydrous aluminum chloride did not lead to the formation of sulfochlorides. The compounds produced are% 2t2-dichloroindandione-i,3, 2,2-dichlorodimedone,l 2,2- dichloro-5-phenyloyclohexanedione-1,3, and 2,2-dichloroperinaphthind one. The table (P 120) shows the reaction temperatures, solvents, yields, and the calcu- lated and measured melting points of the products obtained. It is assumed that the system with delay hass the form x'(1)'= Ax (1) + Gx (i -'r) + Iiis (1) where A and G are constant n-dimensional square matrices; the constant matrix B of order n x m is rectangular; the function u(t) designates m-dimensional control; the delay T is constant.. The problem requires the establishment of control law u(t) which would first bring the system from the initial state x0(t) = ~M (-T I t & 0) into position x(T) = 0 and then maintain it in this position during the time interval T < t < T + -r. The application of matrix theory and vector analysis reduces the prob-I lem- to-one of moments solved earlier by Krasovskiy. The determination of the control Card 1/2 ACC NR: AP7002000 law yields a multivalued solution. The isolation of,some specific uOM from a set of solutions requires that additional restrictions be placed on u(t). These have the! form of some optimality, for example, the minimum value of some norm of u(t) and are achieved by a standard technique. Orig. art. has: 10 formulas. The systern is described with this set of ii differential equations: t - A(t)x + b(f)u, - whert x is a state vector of the phase space. - 1) -th A (t) is the n-variato matrix that has continuous derivatives up to (n order. inclusive; b (t) ig the n-variate vector. A control u W is determined which COW I Z ;:ACGESSION NR: AP4036504 transfers the vector x from the state x (0) 0 to the state x (T) x. and which T n m1MM1zeS tho functional i G where I ajjzj(t)zj(t) is a J-1 1, non-negative quadratic forrii and o6ij are constants. The above problem is solved by reducing it to an L-problem. Orig. art. has: 23 formulas.
