Liquid fuel under a low static pressure is delivered to the chamber through a central nozzle, picked up by the air, swirled and deliv9red to the final mixing chamber which contains two rows of tangential-apertures which deliver air swirling in the opp6site direction. The filially Atomised fuel in delivered to-a furnace. .[Abstractor's notes Complote translation Card 1/1 OS-C-R. Elc-litrituc de calcl!l i 1956. .75 1 oteca Soc- ietatii de t i itte! TITLE: Froducing ferrite powders bythermal ~-ecompcsition of sulfates SOURCE: Poroshkov ayametallurglya, no. 5 19(,5, 11-8 TOPIC TAGSt ferrite powder, sulfate, thermochemistry ABSTRACT: Tn order to obtain ferrite powders with more homogeneous composition ---:-and better electromagnetic properties, the aut_-hors reco-mmend the method of thermal t decomposition of salt solutions of ferrite syjtems. Magnesium ferrite-chvomite powders were produced having a Curie temperature above 800C a ferromapmetic reso- Dance ba-,idwldtb riot greater than 150 oersteds, resistivity ~IiC)Ve 108 011M/CM and d .1 inr value below 650 gauss (1~= saturation flux density). Ai)alytically pure sui- a fates were used to obtain the ferrite powder. Particular attention was given to heat troatment of the salts because of its effect on the density of sintered samplen and, consequently, on the ferromagnetic banduidth. Completeness of: decomposition was test,~d by roasting various samples at tenperatures from 1000 to 13000C for two to eighT hours. Lowest sulfur contents (0.71) were recorded for pcmder5 he~,t-treat- Card 1/? L 5,5947-65 ACCESSION NR: AP5013245 ed at 13000C. -The effect of composition on r-owder characterintics was ntudied in nroducts containing 32-3516 (mol.) imm oxide, 13.7-16.14% chromium oxide and 49.8- -51.4% magnesium oxide. The beat over-all parameterf) were found in a cm~position containing 34.5. 15.5 and 50% of these comporents respectively. The values for ferromagnatic reronance bandwidth are. found to be. consilerably lower than tho!;V given elsewhere for cchAparable compmitions. Thib in a'~tribt!ted to greater tiomo- gencity in powders derived from solution thar, that in powders derived by t*..e oxide mixing method. Orig. art. has: 2 figures, 'd tables. YPorcha poglotitell.nogo masla i korroziya apparatury benzolonogo otdeleniya). PERIODICAL: Koks i Xhimiyag 1957P Nr 7P PP. 39-41 (USSR) ABSTRACT: When chaDgirig hurdles in a scrubber on the above works over 60 ton of oily residues were removed (analysis in Table)p containing over 4 tons of iron. This iron origi- nated from the corrosion of the benzole recovery plant (Figs'. 1t 2)'. The formation of sludge in the absorption oil and its possible corrosive influence is discussed, It is concluded that in order to decrease corrosion on benzole plants and to minimise the formation of sludge the follow- ing measures should be taken: 1) the use of lower tempera- tures during stripping oi oil; 2) purification of the oil from ammonia and its sulphidet chloride and thiocyanide compounds by washing with waterp and 3) c-areful settling of the oil from emulsion and In the case of petroleum oil also from sludge before it is returned to scrubbers.
