TITLE- A Device for Remote Control of Div.1 Balances

ABSTRACT: The authors designed a 1301-v0 spitem for toloinctring and recording
shifts of the indictitor dial needle of R balance used for weigh-
ing coke charges for blast furnric~-s. Usually, VK--5-TIG balances of
the plant "imeni Starostinall are used. The servo system was built
by the authors in coop6ration -vith K.G. Narimov, A.V. Dorolchin
and Yu.V. DoTcachev. It consists of an automatic bridge NISRI, sel-
syns DD-404A, DS-404A and self-re,,crders EPP-09 and EPP-120. A
simplified kinematic diagram for the reriote control of dial ba-
lances is shown in fig.l. The transmitter selsyn is installed on
the indicator needle shaft of the balance. The receiver selsyn is
installed in the automatic bridge and its stator winding is con-
nected to an amplifier input. The principle electrical circuits
are shown in fig.4. Self-recorders EPP-09 and EPP-120 may be used
for recorJing the weight of the coke charges loaded on cars for
Card 1/2 feeding the blast furnaces. The technical specifications of
SOV/115-59-7-12/33
A Device for Remote Control of Dial Balances
"Gipromez" require a coke-weighing accurncy of +20kg of the speci-
fied weight. The long-time operation of two recorders at one of
the blast furnaces of the plant "Azovstnl"' showed that the in-
strument data meet this requirement.. The selsyn transducers func-
tioned during one year witbout any maintenance or replacements.
The servo system described in this article way find application
not only for recording and rewtote control of giv,in weights on
dial balances, but also fcr m~,.a2uring and recording other magni-
tudes whose changes may be: --oni,erted into angular shifts. There
are I photograph, I circuit cliagram, I diagram and 3 Soviet ref-
erences.

ABSTR~CT: In the "Azovstal'" plant a pilot unit for the continuous
determination of the co, Co 21 and H 2 contents of blast furnace
gas has been erected. The unit consists of optico-a-coustical
gas analyzers, filters intended to remove dust and "aji-ressive"
inpurities, as -roll as flow regulators for t,ie supply of the
solutions to the filters and for the this filtration proper.
Both the unit and the underlying principle have a lrea~!y been
described (Ref 1). It was found that some of the auxiliary
arran'-ements are not necessary for worl: in connection with
blast furnaces The modification of the unit (Fij5 1) is now
being used with all the furnaces in tho plant. It has the
following measuring ranges: 0-35'/ for CO, 0-15' for CO 2, and

mvocardial infarction and 200 ECGs taken from the same patients in the. acute and
su))icute periods of the disease, the author discusses the possibilities of extract from
the ECG signs related to the immediate prognosis of the disease. Ile establishes
that there is a certain correlation between the character of the clinical course and
the outcome of the disease in the acute and subacute stage of myocardial infarction
on one side and the ECG changes registered in the respective forms of the dissease on
the other. It is concluded, therefore, that the ECG changes are valuable signs in the
evaluation of the prognosis of these patients. It is pointed out that one should not,
rely upon ECG data only and that the prognosis for each patient should be based
upon the complex analysis of the ECG together with the clinical signs and symp-
toms and the laboratory findings. (XVIII. 6)

ABSTRACT: -The author analyzes in detnila the magmntitas discovered earlier
"(D. Kozhukharov, Geofond NIGI, 1963) which became matavorphoua within the
adjacent rocks during the Frotozoic. They form a rootless, ogg or lens-sheped
intrusions but may be found also as channels or plane-parallel layers with
partial transverse contacts. The paper gives a detailed physical and
chemical properties of the three main groups of Orthoamphibolites separated
out during the analysis.'- According to the results, there should appear in
Southern Bulgaria at least three times ultrabasio to bssio magmatic formations
of which one occurrence dates from the Archeozoic, the second from the
Proterozoic (comprizing the just mentioned orthoamphibolites), and the third
from the Lower Paleosoic. Orig. art. Ins: 3 figures and 2 tables. [JPRS: 36,8441
