TEXT: The authors point out that machine parts of complex configuration
are to an increasing extent tooled cn copying milling machines equipped with
two-ooordinate hydraulic or electric tracer svs+,eMs A Howeve -14these machines
showed a number of deficiencies resulting from the aVplication of either purely
hydraulic or purely elertrio drives. Therefore the authors develoced a tracer
drive system in which the advantages of electronics izn the -m3asuzlin~4and control
sections are combined with those of the hydraulic drive, ber;i =Ss -lert, in the
power section of the machine. This combination makes it possible to obtain higher
feed speeds (up to 1,200 in the tra-oizng system of copying ma,21iina to:)ls
*'~-compared to those of machines with either hydraulic or electtr.-'Aa dlrive, under
consideration of the errors permissible in copying practice L+ 0.1 mm). In this
system copying errors do not depend on the magnitude of feed speed for each of
the coordinates, but only on the curvature of the profile to be machined. If
