Abstract [French summary modified): Anatomical study of 163 skulls from
adults above age 25: ratios between height of osseous palate and nasal
fossa. Contrary to opinions In the literature, a high palate does not
usually mean a lowered nasal cavity - utually both are high or neither.
Cranial kyphosis (sphenoidal angle) is usually in directly Inverse
ratio to these sizes, but various unrelated factors may affect these
general rules in some individuals. Two photographs; 3 tables, 15

Studies and Research in the Field of Hydrology, 'Hater Power,
and Wate--. Resources
Yugoslavian rivers and the harnessing of their power
were carried out in the Department for Hydrology
and Water Power. Hydrological field measurements
which supply data for these studies were carried
out by the Department for Field Studieii. This de-
partment also calibrated, during the period 1955 -
1958, about 500 hydraulic current - meters. During
the period 1953 - 1958 ten hydropower plants, in-
cluding Bogati6i, Mesic'i, Jajoe I, Jajce II, three
power plants in the Vlasina hydro-complex, and, in
part, Jablanica hydropower plant, were inspected
and checked. The production and improvement of
measuring equipment used by the department is also
an important activity here. Papers on some new
measuring methods and equipment are published by
the Hydro-Engineering Institute. The Department
.Lor Water Resources prepared papers on multi-
purpose usage of water for several rivers and

cedonia, the basic water resources solution for
the Vardar River, the Prespa Lake, the Doiran Lake,
etc. This department has its own experimental sta-
tions and a hydro-pedological laboratory. There

Abstract: Placenta extract, prepared by the method of Fil-
atov, was administered subcutaneously to 15 adults
and 10 sexually ii-imaturo rabbits for a j;eriod of
1-30 davs. The extract had a growth inhibiting
effect. Degenerative changes were noted in tho
thT,aus and s:,leen; the effect of the extract is

TEXT: Two-terminal networks are considered which consist solely of
inductances and capacitances. It is shown that the function of the
output susceDtance (impedance or admittance) can be separated into

ratio of g1C, each part of the susceptance can be realized by a
parallel circuit with a suitable susceptance. Parallel resonant cir-
cuits of the equivalent circuit are in this case composed of ele-
ments with losses identical with those of original circuit elements.

rose bengal labeled with iodine-131 showed that only 1.7% of the iodine
in the compound was unlabeled; when administered to mice, 10minutes later

thyroid. Elimination was 58% in the feces, 1.4% in the.urine. Graph,
