TRANSIATION: The control element for the magnetLa voltage regulator has a thx-se-
phase alternator voltage which, when rectified b,r the first rectifier, generates vol-

!ABSTRACT: The paper is a continuation .3f the attempt to solve the self-excited
ivibrations of an elastic body from thr viewpoint of-the wave exchange of energy b8-
,tween an exact, ideal gaseous medium ind an elastic body within it (author's earlier
;paper: "Stationary plane vibrations (if a gaseous medium forced by the action of a
mechanical-energy source", Prace Initytuta Maszyn Przeplywowych, No. 9, PWN, Warsaw-
Poznan, 1962). It examines the i-,active forces produced by the movement of points
on a cylinder surface in an ir:Lc;ially immovable gaseous medium-. The movements of
the forcing edge wit,. small amplitudes are described ~y a continuous and differenti-
able distribution of the velocity on a cylinder of constant radius. This assumption

imakes it possible to find solutions for the vibrations of both rigid and deformable
Icylinders. On the basis of the linearized theory for small disturbances, it deter-
,mines the characteristic of the reactive forces reducing to two coeffic4ents depen-
;dent on the initial parameters of the state of the gas, the shape and freqiiency of,
~the vibrations of the forcing edge. Linearization of the problem permits adOptiOL
of the edge condition, the agreement of the normal components of the gas velocity
.and the components of the velocity of the forcing edge, en the undeformed (immov;col 3),
.surface of the cylinder, instead of on its instantaneous positioufduring the vibra-
.tions. After the example of rigid-cylinder vibrations, it also examines the pos6i-
bility of so choosing the design parameters of an elastic system with one degree of
,;freedom that there will be maximum damping of the vibrations in resonance when this
:syster, is placed in an exact gas. It is found that the reactive forces of the
~gaseous medium depend linearly upon the acceleration and velocity of the vibrations
of the gas particles. The forces proportional to the! acceleration are inert) with
;a coefficient of proportionality depending upon the radius ro and the frequency,
.of vibrations of the forcing edge, as well as upon the initial parameters of the
,state of the gaseous medium po and rhoo. The forces proportional to the velocity
are nonconservative forces of viscous friction with a damping coefficient depending
,on those parameters. In conclusion, the paper given an example of forced vibrations
:of a rigid cylinder elastically attached and making movements with one degree of

Abstracti Because of the neutralization of the acid extraction fluid in soils
rich in bases, the single extraction procedure for the determination of fast
dissolving plant food in aoil5 may not be very accurate* Consequentlyg
Yugoslav patent No 24 086 describes a simple device for soil plant food
determination by means of repeated extraction using 002. The resulting method
is vary feet and suitable for field work.

Abstract : The skeleton of children with acute leukemia (166 cases),
chronic myelosis (11), lymphopranulomatosis (25) and
hemolytic anemic (21) was studied roentgenologically.
The ch,-nCes in the form of lucid interyn1s, ostoolytic
foci and periostosis were noted in 66% of cases, first
of an in the re:,ion of metcphyses, mostly in the bones
of the cplf, distal metaphysis of the femr, distal
metaphysos ol bones of tho foroirn. and in the bones of
