TRANSLATION: Using a second-order radial density t&%trik, gives an approximate
expression for the exchange potential. Establishes the connection between the
Slater and Fock simplified exchange operators. By the method of successive
approximations there is solved the single-electron radiaLl..equa.tion of a simplified
self-conaistent.field. Specific calculation done for the

As a result of solving the equatior for the Ge atom it was concluded'that the

results cannot be obtained with the same accuracy as with the Fock methode flowevers
the simplified method of the self-consistent field Increases the accuracy'of the

ABSTRACT: The purpose of the 1)aper under roview was to analyze the per-
formance of rotating viscosimeters basing upon the I)rinciple
of the movement of a liquid in the interapace between two
concentric cylinders. The equipment, the neasurinr.- methods
and the processing of the data were discussed before (1Ref 5).

fugil forces are absent. For this reauon, they call accuratcly
record the rlicological characteristics of the clay mass. The

contribute to the inaccuracy of the recordings of rotating

ABSTRACT: Sound suspensions are completely characterized by the values

measurink apparatus used. Various hypotheses were set up by
other authors with respeot to thia phenomenon of thixotropy,
T he present paper explains the true reasons. Measurements are
carried out by means of a vibration visoosimeter. It was possible
to vary the amplitude of the oscillations between 0-7 = and
the frequency from 0-3000/min. Curves were plotted describing
the dependence of viscosity upon frequency and amplitude. With
increasing frequency and amplitude, lower values are obtained

medium, and leads to a changed electric interaction between the
micells. This stepwise process entails a reduction of consistency.
Every suspension requires a certain time after which stable
flowing conditions set in. There are 5 figures, I table, and
16 references, 15 of which are Soviet.

carrier gas are studied. Relaxation is presumed to occur at tile expense of contact
inLeracLion of nuclear spins with conduction electrons, It Is supposed that the
energy zones possess the isotropic quadratic law of dispersion. The presence of

TEXT; The reaction of nitrocellulose with organic silicone
derivatives leads partly to a replacement of OH- by OSi-groups,
and partly to transesterification of the nitric esters, with the
production of high.-molecular nitrocellulose derivatives and
containing Si in linear or cross-linked structures, The physical
and mechanical properties of coatings prepared from these polymers
are listed. The modification, by means of organic silicones,
improves the heat and water resistance of the coatings and
in,:reases their strength, adhesion and impact strength,

A13STRACT: Introduction of new experimental methods has increased rather than d ed
the disagreement among different investigators regarding the structure of ZZANUUicidi
luminophors. On the basis of previous investigations of glow curves and the poiarity
of the photocurrent carriers the authors showed that for the most part the discrepan-.
cies are due to inadequate control of the synthesis conditions, i.e., that the phos-
phors studied by different groups differed as regards structure owing to uninten-
tional variations of the preparation conditions. Experiments show, for example, that
truly self-activated ZnS exhibits only one glow curve peak, but that if the compound
