Abstract A now rolorimetric method has been worked out for the de-
ternination of lignin sulfonic acids (I) in water, which
is based oil -the forration of a yellow conpound as a re-
sult of the action of chlorine water. For a detprmiiia-
tion are taken 100 ml of water of pli 6.5-7.5, contninirxg
up to 10 ng I, to which are added 2 n1 chlorine water
(5 Tag C12 Per 1 After 15 minutes,0,2 ml ai=nia
water are added and the resulting coloration is compared
with suitable standards.

the recalculation of the empirically determined va-
nishing of the I content in the iftvestigated materials.
The coefficients showed good conformity during the ana-
lysis of tbe co:mon and concentrated OA, but GA shoved
less reaction with the RMoT reagent than the prepara-
tions I and GP. The difference can be explained by the
occurrence of condensation in t-he materials mentioned
in the solid stage, through a significant degree of
dehydration.
