AB3TRAOT To produce dessert'wines, tests were made of
addition to the wine must of concentrated must, refined
sugar crude spirits distillate, and Of little-aged spirits
distillate (LAD)' The best results were obtained on adding
LAD in small porhons during fermentation. The sugar contan,
of the must should be at least 240 g/liter, and the conten,
of extract in the wine at least 24-32 g/liter. The method
can be carried Out Using conventional wine-making equipment.

ABSTRACT: The author comments that in 1948 the factories "I. C.
Frimu" of Sinaia had a diversity if products on their
production line such as screws, nail, locks, ceramic
products, lime and lumber. Since that time, production
has been more restricted to the manufacture of metall-

manufacture of the elements and injectors for the trac-
tor of the type IAR 22 led in the year 1953 to the ex-
clusive manufacture by the 1. C. Frimu. plant of the fuel
feeding apparatus for the tractors KD-35. The solving
of the new tasks had been eased by the aid received from

Products,of the "I. C. Frimull Metal Works, Sinaia
1. C-Frimu.~lant injectors are manufactured for the
diesel and semi-diesel engines as well as hydraulic me-
chanisms for tractors. The injecting equipment KD is a
part of the equipment of the 37 metric hp motor D-35 and
of the 45 metric hp motor D 36 M of the tractors UTOS.
The injection pump type KD 4 TN -8.5 x 10 (Fig. 1) is
provided with small pistons having a spiral edge. This
type of pump is very widespread. Details of the opera-
tion and design of that pump are given. The feeding
pump delivers the fuel to the injection pump. The feed-
ing is made at the low pressure of 1.7 to 1.9 kg/sq cm.
The feeding pump is.of the piston type and is driven by
one of the injection pump cams. The regulation of the
q~antity.of fuel pumped is made by means of a governor
with rotating weights. Details of the governor are
given. Another element are the injectors IS -1.5 x 150
based on international standards. With the described
equipment of injection, the D-35 engine has a minimum
specific consumption under 220 grams/hp.hr, and the

For rapid diesels, the injection apparatus FS is manu-
factured by the Frimu plant. They may be applied for
engines having 8 and 12 cylinders. As for the power,
the'FS injecting devices can be used from 30 to 450 hp.
A table indicates the principal data of the FS pumps,
referring both.to already manufactured and manufactur-
able products. The FS injector is also amply described.
For a series'of motors (MG-220, MG-430) a double Venturi
tube regulator has been created as well as a safety de-
vice against overspeed. The injecting equipment SD is
destined for utilization in the 25 bp sem.-diesel en-
gines and 50 Is hp aemi-diesels (2 cylinders) built at the
"Timpuri Noi plant in Bucurefti. Other products of
the I.*C. Frimu factories described: Injection equipment
S-80 for the tractors S-80, the hydraulic pump with gear
FS-PR 1, the hydraulic distributor DH-40/75. In conclu-
sion, it is said that the production volume of the 1. C.
Frimu plantwas 10 times greater in 1958 than it had been
in 1948. The number of machine tools was not much in

creased, but older types were replaced by modern ones;
automatic and revolving lathes are now 14% of the total

'investigated the nutritive value of.am~noniacal water to
supplement the protein content of silo corn . They admi-
nistered ammoniacal water with a nitrogen content of 17 %
and a utilization coefficient of 55 to 60 % to young bulls
in quantities averaging 255 grams and to mil cows in
quantities averaging 500 grams per day per animal. The
water replaced a part of the regular food of the
animals, without negatively affecting the fattening or causlag
pathological changes in the internal organse While the
fat contents of the milk was reduced, the milk yield of the
cows receiving ammoniacal water was high.

Abstract Three cases of successful lyaphagranulomtosis (Hodg-
kin's disease) treatment are reported by using the TIN
compound (2-4 mg daily internally). During the course
of the disease the patients received 15-2D mg of W11
and after '10-15 days the treatment was repeated. Com-
plications (leukopenia) occurred more often in cases of
repeated therapy, and in patients with lowered acidity
or with achlohydria. In these cases blood transfusions
as well as intake of vitamins C and B12, antibiotics and
cortisone preparations are recomended. Children tolerate
treatment with TER well.
