TOPIC TAGS: vibration, shell vibration, axisymmetric shell vibration ABSTRACT: Forced axisymmetric vibrations of a cylindrical shell are considered with or without axial inertial forces and with a longitudinal instAbility of high- frequency of the combustion process. It is assumed that the edge of the flame is ati -the intake cross section and that hot gases are moving at a low subsonic flow along the entire length of the pipe. The wave equation for the velocity potential is solved by the method of division of variables in zero order of Bessel's function. It is con- sidered that the acoustic Impedances at the intake and exhaust end of a pipe are known. In satisfying the boundary condition on the wall of the potential in the expres-! sion for deflection, the terms describing the boundary effect are ignored.
