holding at 400C for 9500-10000 tr, the 0, was 71.4, 93.8, 107-5, and

1.9 kgm/cm2, respectively. AT-4 and BT3-1 are very'corrosion resistantPin
nitrose gas (8.10% NO-NO,, 6.oo% 02, rest N2 at 65-75C). AT-4, AT-6, BT3-1 were
also very corrosion resistant in hydrocarbon gas with aggressive components, and in
45% HN03 at 75C all the tested alloys are orrosion resistant. However, the alloys
showed low corrosion resistance in sulfurZoxide (7.45% S021 11.5% 021 rest N2)
and 85% 112SO4at 650. On theft~asis of these tests, AT-4 4loy was selected and used
for manufacturing a K-loo-61-2gype centrifugal compressorVintended for air compres-
sion to 7 atm. It is the first time in the USSR that titanium alloy has been used
for building centrifugal compressors working in aggressive atmospheres. Orig. art
