The acid properties of uranium salt are finally confirmed by a much less solubility in diluted acids than in water. Experiments were carried out for the explanation of the action of various oxidizing and reducing agents on the hexamine reactions. On this occasion it was found that in the presence of potassium permanganate, manganese sulfate and H202 in the reaction medium hexamine formation does not take place. Howevert the yield of hexamine is 60 - 90% in the presenoe of chlorine as oxidizing agent in the reaction medium. This reaction is of special interest for the explanation of the mechanism of formation of platinum hexamines.
