ABSTRACT: Results are presented of theoretical arid experimental investigat;cns
of a laboratory model of the ele,-tric drive of ar. EVG--6 (8~ (iredge turmirg
mechanism-, the drive is of the ' generator-r-notor" type, arid iq. excited bv a
3-winding compensated rotating amplifier. Tc ensure ~igh-speed operation
and a steep mechanical charaCtEristic of the main moto:7, negative current
feedbacks and a voltage cutoff on the generator are use6. The aMplif 4er is
actually a conventional DC niacl~ine with a coz ding distri
